FIBArk after PARTY with The Fabulous Boogienauts!! Friday & Saturday 9 P.M.

June 13, 2017

If you don’t want to boogie, let loose and have an out-of-this-world experience, you might want to avoid Victoria Tavern this weekend because The Fabulous Boogienauts will be taking over. The 10-member intergalactic band will perform back-to-back sets Friday and Saturday starting at 9 p.m. both nights.

The Fabulous Boogienauts is an all-original power disco funk ensemble that hails from planet Boogus Prime, deep in the Alpha Booty System. They crashed their beloved starship, BoobyPrize, in Colorado many years ago and have never left. Before departing their planet, their government named their mission The Fabulous Boogienauts, as their goal was to “bring funk to this great galaxy.”

Band spokesperson Keith Kentucky said, “We seek out new worlds in need of life-affirming groove.”

A highlight of the band’s musical history is when their funky beats stopped an intergalactic war, Kentucky said. “It’s amazing that music can destroy conflict.”

While the amicable aliens have played many “wonderful places,” the band members agree they feel “most comfortable playing in front of the wonderful souls at the Victoria.”

Hopes for this weekend include seeing “many people on the dance floor shaking their asses off. We love the Vic and all the Earthlings that work and play there. It reminds us of our home planet of Boogus Prime.”

Kentucky said his bandmates’ least favorite part about performing is when they have to stop. “We love to keep the party alive!”

The Fabulous Boogienauts have a favorite audience, and they hope the crowds at the Vic will cooperate. “(We like) fun people shakin’ their funky butts off! Trippin’ the light fantastic! If you like to boogie and like to party, then you are our kind of people!”

FIBArk 2014 live music June 11th – 14th

June 6, 2014

June 11th- 14th 2014!

Wednesday night at 9:30: Radio La Chusma is a unique latin band from El Paso that is famous for its cultural singularity and catchy rhythmical style of music.

Thursday night at 9:30: Better Than Bacon is a greasy Rock N Roll band out of Fort Collins

Friday night FIBArk after party with an encore performance by Radio La Chusma! This six piece band features four part harmonies and a high energy live show. Their new “Frontera Reggae” sound takes the reggae vibrations to a whole new level. Finding inspiration from pre-Columbian and African traditions, Radio La Chusma has been inspiring crowds for the past eight years. Radio La Chusma is, first and foremost, a reggae band, but the band also incorporates cumbia, Afro Cuban music, and world beat rhythms that are a combination of all of the above. In fact, the band is a veritable word beat encyclopedia of sounds.

Saturday night the FIBArk after party continues with SOAP, a fusion of highly danceable rock, intricate song craftsmanship and psychedelic funk. Set out to make every show inspiring. Imagine going to a double matinee showing of Led Zeppelin & P-Funk at Dream Theater and then heading to an Amsterdam discotheque to dance until the sun came up. That’s about as close as can be described without seeing Soap for yourself.

S.O.A.P.

July 12, 2013

Starting at 5 p.m.!!! and playing all night long!!
Like the band name, Soap’s music is undoubtedly fresh. With influences
ranging from jazz, blues and funk to progressive, psychedelic and
electronic, Soap skillfully fuses all of these genres into one – dance
infused rock. Imagine going to a double matinee showing of Led Zeppelin &
P-Funk at Dream Theatre and then heading to an Amsterdam discotheque to
dance until the sun came up. That’s about as close as can be described
without seeing Soap for yourself.

Originally from just south of Chicago, Illinois, Soap uprooted and moved to
Minneapolis in 2007 and has become a staple in the thriving Twin Cities
music scene. January of 2013 will mark two years of Soap’s weekly
residency at The Cabooze, a long-standing tradition at the legendary
Minneapolis venue. Following the likes of The Big Wu and God Johnson, Soap
has not only continued that tradition, but has expanded on it with a new
allegiance of fans. These strong Midwest ties have also helped the band
tour successfully throughout the region and beyond, notching over 120 shows
each of the past two years.

The band recently released their third full-length studio album, Piece by
Piece, in December of 2012 and will be touring in support of the album
throughout 2013.

Soap has become a favorite on the festival circuit, performing at 10,000
Lakes Festival (2 times), Summer Camp Music Festival, Wakarusa Music
Festival, Big Wu Family Reunion (2), Bella Music Festivals (4), Prairie
Grass Music Festival (2), Whippersnap Music Festival (2), Shoe Fest (2),
Wookiefoot’s Project Earth and Shangri-La (formerly Harvestfest), as well
as sharing the stage with notable acts and performers, such as Tea Leaf
Green, Zach Deputy, Bernie Worrell, The Motet, Hot Buttered Rum, Kinetix,
Jon Wayne & The Pain,Image

June 16th Adrian and the Sickness

May 31, 2012

Tickets are available at: http://eldobrewpub.frontgatetickets.com/choose.php?a=1&lid=68510&eid=77534Adrian and the Sickness is an undeniable front of infectious pop concoction wrapped around electric, bombastic rock and roll. They have been wowing live audiences with sweet melody and sheer sonic power since their debut in February 2004. Guitarist Adrian Conner also plays lead in Hell’s Belles, an AC/DC tribute band so fearsome that Angus Young is a devoted fan. She’s a deft soloist and a sure hand with a stinging riff, and she’s demonstrated her talents in front of demanding AC/DC fans all over the world. But she’s also a formidable pop-rock songwriter, penning honest, forthright songs spiked with catchy, irresistible hooks. Her original music has been called “exciting, rambunctious and kinda scary” in Guitar Player Magazine (2007).In 2008, Adrian’s endearing melodies as well as her scalding six-string caught the attention of fellow Austin resident, songwriter and bassist for the Go-Go’s, Kathy Valentine, who produced the band’s fourth CD, B.F.D. (2009). Kathy’s attention to sonic detail and eye for the architecture of pop composition resulted in an album that combines the rock fury and dazzling guitar of Angus’ best, with the approach-ability and energy of early Go-Go’s-style pop-punk. Adrian and the Sickness released B.F.D., under their own label, Phantom Records, which charted on C.M.J stations across the US and Canada, in early 2010.

Today, Adrian and the Sickness continue their rock-n-roll pursuit, touring the US and Europe, and constantly writing and recording new music. In July 2011 they launched their fifth independent release “Criminal/Dog Days” and their first on 7-inch vinyl. Adrian and the Sickness is an action-packed world-class rock experience and it’s coming straight at you.
