Arkansauce!! At 9 Pm bring your dancing shoes!!!
Arkansauce is a genre-hopping, four piece string band from northwest Arkansas, bending the rules and blurring the lines between bluegrass, newgrass, folk, americana, country, blues, and funk. With a loyal following growing every day in the Natural State and along their tour routes, the band is proud to be stepping into a hard-driving sound unique to the Arkansas quartet.
The third album (If I Were You, released April 2017) of all original material finds the palate expanded with more complex melodies, intriguing rhythms, and hard-hitting hooks that leave the songs whirling around your head long after the listening experience.
The hard-working musicians are filling the calendar with upcoming appearances at premiere music festivals and venues in and around Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Colorado, New Mexico, and Missouri.
The band’s roots go back to 2011 when founding members Ethan Bush, Zac Archuleta, and Stephen Jolly began writing together after becoming acquainted through mutual connections in the close-knit Fayetteville music scene. After a couple of years building a repertoire of original music and releasing their first album (Hambone) as a trio, they were joined by Tom Andersen on the upright bass and Adams Collins on the five-string banjo. The road-tested chops Andersen and Collins brought to the table helped to cultivate the mature, well-rounded sound needed to accommodate their sophomore release “All Day Long.”
An Arkansauce show is riddled with improvisational guitar, banjo, and mandolin leads, paired with powerful harmonies and heart-felt songwriting, all held together by deep foot-stompin’ bass grooves. There’s an undeniably intimate connection between the band and their fans that’s contagious and leaves everyone in front of, and on the stage wanting more. Arkansauce holds their head high, as they look forward to enjoying everything life and music has in store for them and their fans.
Welcome Colorado Bicycle Tour! At 7 p.m. we have local Rhythm and Blues band Mo’ Champipple.Crafted especially for your indulgence, we present this colossal concoction of players from The Lazy Aliens Blues Band and Groove Farmers.
Friday June 15th we have: Pretty Lights Music Artists Paul Basic and SuperVision!!
Over the last several years, Colorado producer Paul Basic (Paul Brandt) has developed his own brand of beats fusing dusty samples with hard hitting drums and razor-sharp basslines. His roots are in drumming, having played in a band with label-mates Michal Menert and Derek Vincent Smith through highschool before moving on to produce his own tracks. He draws from a slew of inspirations in order to create his own style within the PLM electro hip-hop movement. A Colorado native, Paul lived on both coasts while pursuing a degree in audio production, before he came back to CO to team up with his crew and begin his quest for domination of the global dance floor.
The sounds created and played by SuperVision are the works of Richard Blake Hansen. With a DJ career spanning over 12 years and 1000+ gigs, his place in the music industry has been found. Within a couple of years of DJing he was cutting his teeth in music production. He moved to Fort Collins Colorado in 2002 and met Derek Vincent Smith and Michal Menert. After studying production and learning from the best, he went on to audio engineering school. He has enjoyed sharing the stage with such well known acts as Pretty Lights, Michal Menert, DJ AM, Jazzy Jeff, Public Enemy, DJ Craze, Klever, DJ Skribble, Steve Aoki, Tommie Sunshine, Quest Love, Classixx, La Riots, Villains, RJD2, and Ghostland Observatory to name a few. In 2011 SuperVision has arrived. Available now for free download is his latest project ‘Telescopic’.
When drawing from the right pool of inspiration, sometimes the right mixture of sounds can come together and make something new. Possibly something hard to put one name on. Today people like to jump on the next genre bandwagon, and intentionally make music that fits one genre. SuperVision is not about one sound. Instead it is about many sounds brought together with an approach that delivers a stylistic sound design that isn’t classified with one or two words. It is a sound that you can count on evolving without departing from what makes it unique.
Today, Adrian and the Sickness continue their rock-n-roll pursuit, touring the US and Europe, and constantly writing and recording new music. In July 2011 they launched their fifth independent release “Criminal/Dog Days” and their first on 7-inch vinyl. Adrian and the Sickness is an action-packed world-class rock experience and it’s coming straight at you.
Friday and Saturday night from 9:30 until 2!!
The Sessh’s musical rue uses funk-rock and soul flavored ingredients from New Orleans as well as early 70’s funk, hip-hop and driving rock. The band has completed their first EP “Fressh Vol.1” and continues to add to their repertoire of original material while allowing the music to grow from their experiences together.
Bursting with energy, emotion, and unpredictable experimentation, the Colorado based trio tears open the artistic envelope, bringing both nuance and eclectic strength to their electrofunk oriented repertoire. Their sound is both atmospheric and ambitious, without losing the pedal-to-the-metal power that keeps their audience dancing into the night and wanting more.
