Saturday July 14th at 5 P.M. Jah Kings

July 10, 2012

Starting at 5 P.M. right after the Brewer’s Rendezvous! Alexander Kofi, started the JAH KINGS Reggae Band back in 1992 and has opened up for the Four Tops, Journey, Foreigner and top Reggae Acts Culture, Yellowman, and Everton Blender, as well as toured nationally and internationally specifically Ghana West Africa. “Because of my strong desire to recapture my culture, my music has lead me back to Africa, Ireland, and even the Sundance at Wounded Knee on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota as I also have Blackfoot Lakota in my family. It was such and Honor to perform my song Wounded Knee for Chief Gerald Ice and the family there last year”, said Alexander.

As a result of work on both the Pine Ridge Reservation and the Hopi Reservation, the JAH KINGS music is a blend of Funky Roots Reggae with Strong Native American undertones. Accompanied by Bryn Jungwirth on the drums, Mihran Queen on the bass, Andrew Davis on percussion, and the newest and youngest member Donavon Gonzalez on keyboards, the JAH KINGS will bring their refreshing and relevant music to the Victoria Hotel and Tavern
