Over the last several years, Colorado producer Paul Basic (Paul Brandt) has developed his own brand of beats fusing dusty samples with hard hitting drums and razor-sharp basslines. His roots are in drumming, having played in a band with label-mates Michal Menert and Derek Vincent Smith through highschool before moving on to produce his own tracks. He draws from a slew of inspirations in order to create his own style within the PLM electro hip-hop movement. A Colorado native, Paul lived on both coasts while pursuing a degree in audio production, before he came back to CO to team up with his crew and begin his quest for domination of the global dance floor.

The sounds created and played by SuperVision are the works of Richard Blake Hansen. With a DJ career spanning over 12 years and 1000+ gigs, his place in the music industry has been found. Within a couple of years of DJing he was cutting his teeth in music production. He moved to Fort Collins Colorado in 2002 and met Derek Vincent Smith and Michal Menert. After studying production and learning from the best, he went on to audio engineering school. He has enjoyed sharing the stage with such well known acts as Pretty Lights, Michal Menert, DJ AM, Jazzy Jeff, Public Enemy, DJ Craze, Klever, DJ Skribble, Steve Aoki, Tommie Sunshine, Quest Love, Classixx, La Riots, Villains, RJD2, and Ghostland Observatory to name a few. When drawing from the right pool of inspiration, sometimes the right mixture of sounds can come together and make something new. Possibly something hard to put one name on. Today people like to jump on the next genre bandwagon, and intentionally make music that fits one genre.  SuperVision is not about one sound. Instead it is about many sounds brought together with an approach that delivers a stylistic sound design that isn’t classified with one or two words. It is a sound that you can count on evolving without departing from what makes it unique.

Born in the middle of mosquito country on the “Right Side of Texas” or Beaumont as they call it, Thomas Champagne grew up with the best of both worlds, Texas Pride and a Cajun Spirit. Hitting the stage by the age of 14, Thomas’ musical roots were formed on piano, bass, and drums. While attending Texas A&M University in the mid 90′s, Thomas formed a funk-rock quartet known as 4D2 and began playing throughout the state as the bassist and vocalist. Around the turn of the century, Thomas moved back to his hometown and starting performing bass with the Folsom Creek, a rock/bluegrass mix. After a great run of shows and a new album just a week from hitting the shelf, the group folded and out of disappointment and depression, Thomas discovered his true songwriting style, funky reggae. For the first time ever, Thomas took the stage as the front man forming his own band, Audioflava, a jazz/funk/pop entity that evolved into an electric power trio featuring Danny Anderson on guitar and Carlos Lopez on drums. Audioflava and Thomas moved to Austin, TX where he started working at Arlyn and Pedernales Studios. After a few years in Austin, Danny and Thomas decided it was time to hit the road and began touring the states as a duo, Champagne Anderson. With such a great success on the road as a duo, Thomas and his friends headed to the studio in the Fall of 2007 to complete their long awaited album, “Old Town”, and hence form the group, “Champagne with Friends”. Along with fellow South-East Texans, Nicholas F. Nolden and Danny Anderson, and the “Monster” himself on the drums, Mr. Carlos Lopez, Champagne with Friends have been steadily touring the states, shaking the stage, and spreading their good word. Within the past three years “Champagne with Friends” has performed on over 101 stages amongst 13 different states, and the train keeps on moving.

Their 2010 sophomore release “Follow Through” builds upon the success of the group’s self-titled 2008 debut album, once again showcasing their unique mix of reggae, rock, and dub that fans can’t get enough of. Reliably packing dance floors, the perpetually touring act has really evolved in the past year on the road. Their sound continues to morph with their live Dub-Step experimentation and high energy renditions of their original and catchy recorded tracks.

Thunder Body is analog roots reggae, futuristic gospel, and psychedelic madness. Thunder Body is an adventure in sound, a sweet soul experience. There is no other band like Thunder Body.

Thunder Body consists of Matthew O’Brian (former lead singer and guitar player in Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad), playing drums and singing, Rachel Orke (former GPGDS) on analog keyboards and melodica, Dennis Mariano and Sam Snyder on guitar, Jeremiah Pacheco on bass, and Brian Blatt on “Science”. Thunder Body is a timeless new direction in music.

Formed in spring 2010, Thunder Body has shared the stage with Third World, Ozomatli, John Brown’s Body, Rubblebucket and many others. The band offers a self-titled 5 song EP, with a full-length studio recording to be released in the fall. In July, Thunder Body will embark on a journey out to the West Coast, ending with the Poudre Valley Reggae Festival in direct support of the Wailers.

With over 400 shows, 4 releases, and 8 tours across two continents since their formation in 2009, Mad Dog and the Smokin’ Js have established themselves as one of the busiest road bands in Colorado. High-energy delivery and powerful songwriting propel the power trio’s reputation as a premier Denver based roots rock’n'roll band. Records) available now! MDSJ is currently touring with their forth release and working on their fifth; due out for release in mid 2012. In 2011 the band found good success with the release which drifted away from the power rock to a more surf roots and rockabilly sound. This sound was further enhanced with the appointment of but seemed cut short with the leave of Frazier, but lead to the acquisition of current guitarist and singer Jay Nasty. The sound again evolved to a wider spectrum of country roots and punk rock influence with their forth release, “Wired and Tired” (2011 15¢/HighFive Records).
